SLASA RENAMES “St. Lucia Aquatics Federation”

I would like to inform you that during the President’s visit to FINA’s headquarters and his attendance at a meeting of affiliates, a request was made that all Associations affiliated to FINA should amend their name to include the word “Aquatics” thus being fully responsible for all water sports governed by FINA. i.e: Swimming, Water Polo, Artistic Swimming and Open Water.

At a congress held on 13th December, 2018 in Hangzhou, (China), and in accordance with the FINA Rule C7.4, the FINA Bureau considered the request made by St. Lucia for the change of name from St. Lucia Amateur Swimming Association to ST. LUCIA AQUATICS FEDERATION. The approval was granted and signed by Cornel Marculescu, FINA Executive Director
