The Saint Lucia Amateur Swimming Association (SLASA) extends to you a cordial invitation
to celebrate the 37th Anniversary of Independence at the Independence Swim Meet, a one day meet open to all age groups.

Sanctioned By: St. Lucia Amateur Swimming Association in accordance with FINA Rules.

Course: 8-lane 25 meter pool with Colorado Electronic Timing. Hy-Tek Software.
False Start FINA rule “SW 4.4” will be in effect: NO FALSE STARTS.
Registration and Entries:
Entries for clubs must be made using the TM format and emailed to SLASA Tech VP, lilybergasse@yahoo.com
NO LATER than February 24, 2016.

The following will apply to all entries:
1. There is no limit to the number of swimmers which your club can enter in an event, however, only the two highest placed swimmers will score team points.
2. There shall be neither substitutes nor alternatives in individual events.
3. Each Club may enter one team per relay event for points.
4. Swimmers may swim a maximum of THREE individual and ONE relay event.
5. Swimmers competing in relay events must be registered in the meet.
6. Heats will be announced according to the printed schedule and it will be ultimately the swimmers’ and their coaches’ responsibilities to insure that the swimmer is at the starting block on time.
7. There shall be a Meet Entry Fee of EC$20 per swimmer EC$10 per team relay entry
8. ENTRY FEES MUST BE PAID BEFORE THE START OF THE MEET
9. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ALLOWED.

Age Groups:
Individual events – 8 & under, 9 – 10, 11 – 12, 13 – 14, 15 & over
Relay events – 10&under, 11-14, 15 & over
The age of the swimmer on December 31, 2015 will determine the age group that the swimmer is eligible to swim.
All events will be swum according to seed times regardless of age group or gender, however they will be ranked according to age group and gender in tabulating the final results.
Officials:
Each club participating will be asked to provide FOUR officials for the meet. Officials’ names should be sent with the entries if possible. Additional volunteers would be appreciated.
Protests: The designated team representative must file a signed protest form to protest a decision made by the meet referee, within thirty minutes of the posted results of the event. The cost of the protest will be $20.00. The protest will go to the protest committee that will be named prior to the start of the meet. If the protest is upheld the fee will be returned to the team official.
Finishes: Swimmers will remain in their lane until all swimmers finish the race.

Programme:
WARM UP TIMES: 7:15-8:00AM and 8:00-8:45 AM

START TIME: 9:00 AM
There will be no Heats or Preliminaries. All events are Timed Finals and seeded according to entry time.

17&18 10 & UNDER 100 IM
19&20 9 & OVER 200 IM
21&22 7 & OVER 50 BREASTSTROKE
23&24 8 & UNDER 25 BREASTSTROKE
25&26 7 & OVER 50 BACKSTROKE
27&28 9 & OVER 100 BUTTERFLY
29&30 8 & UNDER 25 FREESTYLE
31&32 7 & OVER 50 FREESTYLE
33 MIXED 11 & OVER 200 BREASTSTROKE TIME TRIAL

Protests must be submitted to referee within 30 minutes after finish of event.
