Two national qualifying meets were held recently to select the open water and pool competitors, respectively: The 2016 Peterkin Sports and Fitness Academy (PSFA) Fall Open Water Swim took place at Reduit Beach on 16 October, 2016. Only one swimmer met the selection standards: Veronica Brown. This event was followed by the CapriSun National Time Trials, organized by Sea Jays Legends Swim Club and held at the Rodney Heights Aquatic Centre, 21-23 October. Performance at the Capri Sun Swim Meet determined the competitors for the pool events in St Vincent.
SLASA thanks sponsors and supporters and conveys its best wishes to the National Team for its preparations for and competition in St Vincent.
