St. Lucia Amateur Association Swimmers Prepares for the
23rd Goodwill Swim Meet 2017
After the completion of the Karen Beaubrun Swim Meet the Technical Committee of the St. Lucia Amateur Swimming Association choose 28 swimmers and 7 officials who will represent at the 23rd Goodwill Swim Meet 2017 August 18th to 20th at the National Aquatic Center in Guyana.
Last held here in St. Lucia in 2016 , The Championship is a five nation swim meet to include Surinam, Guyana, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Bahamas and St. Lucia. The meet is a developmental meet for swimmers 10 and under and 11 and over who missed the qualifying standard for the Carifta Championship.

The official team will comprise of David Peterkin of the Sharks Swim Club as head coach. He will be assisted by Peter James of the Lightning Aquatics Swim Club and John Mc Lennon of the Seajays Swim Club. Team Manager Tessa Charles Louis will be assisted by Chaperones Rishma Ramnarace Joseph, Sabrina Odol and Michelle Herelle.
President of SLASA Eddie Hazel has expressed that the association ultimate goal at the championship is to allow its swimmers the opportunity to develop on a regional level and raise the bar with the hope of producing increase numbers of swimmers qualifying for Carifta and CCCAN.
